The song was used as the theme song for Shiseido Cosmetics' 1982 spring campaign. A dream project with Kiyoshiro Imawano of RC Succession, one of Japan's leading rock bands, and Ryuichi Sakamoto, who shook the world with YMO. The song is a royalty of new wave techno kayo! Their make-up, costumes, and music videos are in excellent taste.

The song was used as an insert song in the Part A of "Urusei Yatsura" episode 18, "Ki-E-Na-I Rouge Magic! was used as an insert song for "Urusei Yatsura.

However, after 22 years, the band will reunite for a dream come true in 2023, the 40th anniversary of their debut! The band is currently touring. "SEX" by Atsushi Kamijo, famous for his manga "To-y" The main character, YUKI, was inspired by Ranmaru, guitarist of the Street Sliders.

Needless to say, this is the fourth solo single work by Ryuichi Sakamoto of Japan's world-renowned YMO." Nicknamed "The Professor," Sakamoto's musicality is wide-ranging, with classical music at its core and a deep knowledge of ethnic music and popular music (especially techno-pop).

In 1987, he was the only Japanese to win an Academy Award for composition, and is also internationally acclaimed for his film music

In his later years, he actively participated in movements related to nuclear power plant issues, the environment, and the Constitution.

In the mid-1990s, he was one of the first to incorporate the Internet into his live performances and works, demonstrating his interest in new technologies. Sadly, he passed away on March 28, 2023, at the age of 71 in a Tokyo hospital, leaving the world in mourning. Super Legend of Legend!!!

In 1984, she wrote, composed, and sang her own lyrics to the Kanebo Cosmetics summer campaign song “Kimitachi Kiwi, Papaya,  Mango dane,” which became a hit. In recent years, the popularity of city pop music has led to a re-evaluation of the song in 2010. While utilizing the appeal of popular songs, he also incorporates the latest musical genres of each era, such as disco, Latin, funk, AOR, synth pop, and black contemporary, to create universal pop music, characterized by his songwriting skill. This eclecticism can be said to have anticipated the subsequent J-POP era.

The band's pop-oriented, eight-eight beat rock sound with a sharp and edgy vertical groove, and innovative visuals such as the use of Jean-Paul Gaultier as stage clothes and an inverted hair style attracted a lot of support, and their 5th album "BEAT EMOTION" and 6th album "PSYCHOPATH" were million sellers, which was unusual for a rock band at that time. Their fifth album "BEAT EMOTION" and sixth album "PSYCHOPATH" were million-sellers, which was unusual for a rock band at that time. In 1987, "MARIONETTE" became the first single to reach No. 1, and the band rose to the top in both name and reality.

However, at the height of their popularity, the band announced their breakup on December 24, 1987. This sudden announcement sent shockwaves throughout the world. The following year, on April 4 and 5, 1988, BOØWY put an end to their activities with the "Last Gigs" held at the just-completed Tokyo Dome. 90,000 tickets were prepared for this concert, but they sold out in just 10 minutes, and the phone lines in Bunkyo-ku were flooded with reservation calls, resulting in a situation where the phone lines were flat. BOØWY's popularity developed into a social phenomenon.
