DESCRIPTION: Masterpieces by Pablo de Sarasate performed by the composer himself, piano accompaniment by Juan Manen, from his only recording session, Paris, 1904. “Aires Gitanos”, (or “Zigeunerweisen” as it was originally published in Leipzig, 1878) is easily his most celebrated piece, a staple of the contemporary violin canon. Beautiful, late master pressing. Record is in lovely VG++ condition, slightly rough at the starts then plays EE-, shiny and clean. Play graded with a 2.2 ET stylus. Tremendous record!
