Description
78 RPM - exceptionally rare Columbia L21 - Lovey's Band, Trinidad, British W. I. - first island band to ever record calypso music - 1912 - Lovey's Sting Band - I believe this is from the June 28 1912 session at Columbia in New York
Columbia Record L21 - Oil Fields (Paseo) / Siempre Alegre (Vals) - rates E++, exceptionally clean and shiny - Oil Fields side has one short groove scratch that plays thru clearly and cleanly, very light background noise, minor label scratches - I believe Oil Fields is from the June 28 1912 session at Columbia in New York (run off numbers are 21599-1-2) and Siempre Alegre is from the July 1 1912 session (run off numbers are 21609-1-4).

My grading scale is not complicated. Mint (M, M-) means like new with only the slightest of scuffing. Excellent (E, E+, E-) means minor scuffs, scrapes, label wear, light scratches that do not affect the play. Good (G, G+, G-) means scuffing, scraping, scratches, acceptable playing with noticible noise. I try not to sell records that are warped or that skip unless noted. These are records I have picked up while expanding my own record collection.
I pack very carefully with cardboard reinforcement, bubble wrap and sturdy boxes. I combine shipping on multiple purchases where possible. Please use shipping calculator to determine shipping charges to your location.
This auction DOES INCLUDE international shipping. PLEASE NOTE: The shipping calculator tends to give excessive shipping charges for International First Class Mail. I charge shipping on actual weight, postage is printed clearly on the label and I refund any excess payment if over $1.00 US for international buyers. A single 78 record shipped International First Class mail to Europe is around $18.00 US, but can very slightly Four 78 records to Europe is around $28.00 US and can also vary.
Payment arrangemennts not made within 5 days will cause the sale to be cancelled and the item relisted for another auction. Please view my other auctions. Thanks for looking.
