DESCRIPTION:  
One of the scarcer Lonnie Johnson Okehs.  If you didn't read the label, you would not guess the guitar on "Blue Ghost Blues" is Lonnie Johnson.  He plays more like a country bluesman instead of using any of his characteristic runs and fills.  These sides are from a exploratory November 1927 session during which he recorded other guitar instrumentals and untitled sides many of which were not issued.  I can't recall any other sides by him where he played in this style.  "Life Saver Blues" guitar is typical Lonnie.  Music clear and strong with tics from small scratches and a 1" lam on "Life Saver Blues".
