DESCRIPTION:
Four one-sided polystyrene master tests comprising the complete Jack Celestain and His Caribbean Stompers output for Columbia recorded at two sessions in September 1928. Celestain on piano with Gerald Clark, guitar, Cyril Monrose, violin, plus reeds. Strong, crisp sound with quiet surfaces all sides. Tight ensemble playing with all members showing their solo chops at various points. Sam Manning vocals on two of the sides. Originals are very scarce.
