Description
1) "I'm In Love" Betty LaVette Charly CRB 1059 1985 Disc condition - Clean & shiny, a couple of edge marks/scuffs, no visible marks or scratches on playing surface. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Paper. Cover - Excellent, almost no corner or edge wear except for very small surface rub/tear on top edge, very minor ring rub. 2) "In The Saddle" Betty Harris Charly CRB 1002 1980 Disc condition - Clean & shiny, no visible marks or scratches on playing surface. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Paper printed with album covers. Cover - Very good, minor ring rub, very minor corner & edge wear, some yellowing/discolouration of white areas of cover, just a few small light surface creases along spine. 3) "R. B. Blues" Ruth Brown Atlantic P-6189A Mono 1980 Made in Japan
Disc condition - Clean & shiny, small mark/scratch side 1 track 2, no other visible marks or scratches on playing surface. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Plastic. Cover (back of cover is printed in Japanese) - Very good, virtually no corner or edge wear except for fading of top edge, very minor rim rub, minor light yellowing/discolouration & a couple of spots to white areas of back cover mainly along edges. Insert - single sheet printed on both sides with English lyrics. 4) "I Know (You Don't Love Me No More)" Barbara George Line/Outline OLLP 5286 AS Stereo 1961 "Originally released on Afo 5001" Made in Germany Disc condition - Clean & shiny, no visible marks or scratches to playing surface. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Paper lined with plastic & printed in German & English. Cover - Very good, almost no edge or corner wear, very minor rim rub, just a few small light surface creases along spine. 5) "Time Is On My Side" Irma Thomas Ace Records Kent 010 Stereo & Mono 1983 Disc condition - Clean & shiny, no visible marks or scratches on the playing surface. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Paper. Cover - Very good, almost no corner or edge wear, very minor ring rub, a few small light creases along edges, couple of light surfaces creases across lower RH corner. 6) "Hello Stranger" Barbara Lewis Solid Smoke SS-8014 1981 Disc condition - Clean & shiny, no visible marks or scratches on playing surface. Please see my note below as I am unable to play these records. Inner sleeve - Plastic. Cover - Very good, very minor corner & edge wear, very minor rim rub, just a few light dirty/finger marks to back cover.
My mother-in-law has gone into supported accommodation & among other things, we need to get rid of her record collection. I will also be listing LPs inherited from my husband's brother, who was a fan of African American R&B and jazz artists.
I do worry about accurately stating the condition of the records. I am unable to play the records but will look at them carefully in a well lit room in daylight (no artificial lighting), listing any obvious faults. All records are second hand/used/played & I have noticed that almost all, if held under direct sunlight or inside downlighting, will show very fine, light scratches/marks scattered over the surface. These do not show in normal room lighting & will not be mentioned in my descriptions & may be present even when the record appears "clean & shiny". Because I can't play the records, I will not be able to tell if the records sound scratchy or have any pops, crackles or background "noise". Although my listings carry a "no refunds" policy, please contact me via email if you buy a record that disappoints because you feel my description is inaccurate & I will organise a refund.
I ship LPs in a padded postal envelope with extra bubble wrap & cardboard around record. A purchase of more than 3 LPs (or that doesn't fit into a padded post bag) is shipped wrapped in bubble wrap, inside a cardboard sleeve. I will be happy to combine postage (please email for costs) if you are purchasing more than one item & will hold any item you have won until the end of any future auction on which you are bidding.
