We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music!       The first Doors album was an important development in the evolution of rock, representing the dark underbelly of the '60s counterculture, the Jekyll to the Beatles/Beach Boys' Hyde. Morrison's drinking, exhibitionist performances, and drug-taking affected his input at recordings. "Let's just say I was testing the bounds of reality," The Doors were the opposite of windblown Californian pop-rock.

  Dark, brooding and alienated, every element of the groups metier was unveiled on this their first album.

• In Jim Morrison the  DOORS possessed one of rock's authoritative voices, while the group's dense instrumental prowess reflected his lyrical mystery. 
• Highly literate, they wedded Oedipal tragedy with counter-culture nihilism and, in "Light My Fire", expressed exotic images previously unheard in rock music, not to mention the rest...

      The 11-minute Oedipal drama "The End" was the group at its most daring and, some would contend, overambitious. It was nonetheless a haunting cap to an album whose nonstop melodicism and dynamic tension would never be equaled by another group again, let alone bettered. Howlin' Wolf, Brecht and Weill are acknowledged as musical reference points, a conflict between the physical and cerebral that give THE DOORS its undiluted tension. Or you can just enjoy it as a brilliant 1967 album that sucks-the listener-in as it breathes out.

 Still a TOP COPY despite very minor / light past use as notably little stress signs bend starting at top right corner, but is not bent having  no such signs of any starting stress on back cover reverse side at top corner  or elsewhere: there are no delete marks, no split seams, no writing and still retains solid 1967 colors.

The vinyl: Rated: nice M- visibly clean/clear and played highly enjoyable here, the vinyl qualifies as a mono artifact GEM and both "gold" ELEKTRA labels are beautiful
