M-G-M 13291 ROY HAMILTON
You Can Count On Me/ You Make Me Want To Dance
This is an acetate made directly after Roy's recording session at the 1960s Atlantic studios: you can hear the sound engineer--probably the legendary TOM DOWD--count "1-2-3" at the beginning of both tracks! This was BILL COOK's personal copy: he was the longtime manager of ROY HAMILTON and a former deejay on WAAT, Newark, New Jersey.
It's hard to grade--probably VG or VG--slight warp--this acetate was not made for repeated plays but was a reference cut at the session--a piece of history, Roy Hamilton, Tom Dowd & Atlantic Studios...(released as M-G-M # 13291 in 1964)
