Up For Auction: Super Cool Jazz / West Coast Jazz / Avant-Garde Jazz LP In Spectacular Condition!!!

1962 Atlantic Records, 12 inch, 33 1/3 RPM Stereo LP, Cat. #1357 , First Pressing, DJ Copy, White Label with Black Print. Featuring: Lenny Tristano. Titled: "The New Tristano". Song Titles Include: 1 Becoming [Tristano] 4:32, 2 C Minor Complex [Tristano] 5:50, 3 You Don't Know What Love Is [DePaul, Raye] 3:28, 4 Deliberation [Tristano] 4:50, 5 Scene and Variations: Carol/Tania/Bud [Tristano] 11:42, 6 Love Lines [Tristano] 2:19 and 7 G Minor Complex [Tristano] 3:51.

If you're not familiar with this artist/Title, here's some additional information: "Tristano's piano solos are challenging and ambitious on these unaccompanied solo works, recorded between 1960 and 1962 (all except "You Don't Know What Love Is" Tristano originals). The variety and sheer amount of ideas, plus the facility of the lines and the overall performances, are impressive. This is a superb presentation of Lennie Tristano's work".

The Vinyl is Near Mint (9-9.5 of 10) in condition. With Original Atlantic Inner Sleeve. The cover is very nice. The only issue to report is a very well repaired split in the center of the top seam (about 3/4 in. in length - only noticeable on close examination). Nothing serious on this 47 year old Avant-Garde Jazz Classic!!
