60s CHICAGO GROUP NORTHERN SOUL
ORIGINAL U.S. ISSUE

                                                                            Wallace Sampson

                                                                                                  Maurice McAlister

                                                                              Leonard Caston

EVER-POPULAR MID-TEMPO DANCER

GRITTIER AND WITH A HARDER EDGE THAN THEIR EARLIER TITLES LIKE "VOICE YOUR CHOICE" AND "IT AIN'T NO BIG THING" WITH MORE THAN A NOD TO THE MOTOWN SOUND

HAVING STARTED OUT AS A QUINTET, THE GROUP WERE NOW A TRIO AND THIS WAS McALISTER'S LAST OUTING WITH THEM BEFORE TEAMING UP WITH GREEN McLAUREN (ANOTHER EX-RADIANT) TO RECORD AS MAURICE & MAC
"BABY YOU'VE GOT IT" WAS NOT GIVEN A U.K. RELEASE ON 45 ALTHOUGH THE ACTION'S PARLOPHONE COVER IS EXCELLENT
THE MID-TEMPO FLIP WAS WRITTEN BY NICK ASHFORD, VALERIE SIMPSON & JO ARMSTEAD
