Description

The VELVET SATINS  "Nothing Can Compare To You" / "Up To The Rooftop" 
(General American) DJ styrene pressing

Talk about storming northern soul! Flawless.

This is an original, 1965 promotional pressing.  Has the “Bell Sound” stamp, and the master code from World Artists Corp
etched in the deadwax  ZSXE 12304 re1a (Nothing..side) ZSXE 12303 (Up To..side)

CONDITION: I grade for visual, and for playback.  Playback = graded while listening thru top notch studio headphones
Grades are: Near Mint (for store stock - unplayed), VG++ (close to perfect)  VG+ (excellent keeper copy)
VG , VG minus, and G (what most ebay sellers award as a VG grade is equal to my G condition).
I do not use the EX grade.  EX = VG+ in my strict grading standards.


Visual: Strong VG+  
 Very clean, just a few straight hairlines that cover ¼ of the playing surface area.  They do not sound, and look to be the result of some other record scuffing against it.  B side has just a few fine hairlines. Hardly any evidence of playwear, lots of gloss.
A side & B side labels show a bit of wear and a 15 cent pen mark. B isde label aslo has two small black X marks to identify the side to air on the radio.


 B side label came off from moisture /stain and was torn, I repaired it as best as I could when I obtained the record – see images.

Audio / Playback: Both sides play VG++
 I hear just a faint trace of surface noise during song fadeouts. No cue burn or distortion, almost perfect!

 The 45 will be packaged correctly - in a 45rpm mailer box with square filler pads.
