Here's a really nice lot of six mid to late 1920s Country Gospel 78s.All in very nice condition with lots of shine on grooves.FIRST RECORD is by The Deal Family and is on Columbia label # 15214-D.The Beautiful Home Somewhere side has two very light scratches.Has some light scuffing.Side has lots of nice looking shine on grooves.The He's Coming Again side has two light non feelable scratches and three very small feelable scratches.Has some light scuffing.This side only has one long 3 and 1/2 inch lam on grooves.It doesn't go directly across the grooves as it goes the direction of grooves instead.Its not feelable and won't affect play.Side has lots of shine on grooves.SECOND RECORD is by The Blue Ridge Singers.I believe this band is most likely related to the Blue Ridge Mountain Singers but I'm not 100% sure.This records on Columbia label # 15228-D.The I Want To Go There Don't You side has two very small less than 1/8th inch feelable scratches and no other scratches.Some light scuffing(Not much).Side has tons of nice looking shine on grooves.The Glory Is Now Rising In My Soul side has no scratches at all.Small amount of light scuffing.Has lots of great looking shine on grooves.Terrific looking record with the exception of KFIO written in some kind of permanent paint or nail polish on label.I purchased this 78 with several other 78s from a gentlemen who said they were from the KFIO radio station in Washington back in the very early days.This is the only record in the lot which has this.These next 3 records are all by Smith's Sacred Singers.THIRD RECORD is by Smith's Sacred Singers on Columbia label # 15230-D.The I Want To Go To Heaven side has one very light scratch and one small light non feelable scratch.Has some light scuffing.Little wear on grooves but still has nice shine.The We Shall Rise side has two very light scratches and one small light non feelable scratch.Also has some scuffing which will not affect play.Has three tiny pit marks which also will not affect play.Small amount of wear.Still looks great with lots of shine on grooves.No Lams or chips.FOURTH RECORD is also by Smith's Sacred Singers.Columbia label # 15173-D.The He Is Coming Back side has three small very light scratches and one small light non feelable scratch.Has some light scuffing.Has lots of nice looking shine on grooves.The Trace The Footsteps Of Jesus side has two small light non feelable scratches.Also has one long feelable scratch and one small feelable scratch.Has some light scuffing.Has a little wear on grooves towards end of song but side still looks nice with lots of shine.No lams or chips.FIFTH RECORD is by Smith's Sacred Singers and is on Columbia label # 15144-D.The He Will Set Your Fields On Fire side is Beautiful with 3 tiny feelable scratches and no other scratches.These are all tiny as the biggest is less than 1/8th of an inch.The other two are very tiny only.Has some light scuffing.Side has tons of Beautiful looking shine.The I Will Sing Of My Redeemer side has two very light scratches and two small light non feelable scratches.Has some light scuffing.Has lots of nice looking shine on grooves.This side only has one very small chip on outer edge which is not near grooves at all.Very small and cannot be seen on other side.SIXTH RECORD is by The Bush Brothers and is on Columbia label # 15235-D.The Oh Wonderful day side has three very light scratches and two light non feelable scratches.Has some mostly light scuffing but includes two feelable scuffs.I don't believe any of the scuffs affected play.Has lots of nice looking shine on grooves.The Hallelujah He Is Mine side has a small amount of very light scratches and no other scratches.Has some scuffing that won;t affect play.This side only has a very noticeable lam on grooves.It also kind of goes the same direction of grooves instead of across them.It's very noticeable but does not affect play at all when play tested.Has lots of nice looking shine on grooves.All six of these records will play very nicely.
