Six AMERICAN COUNTRY COUNTDOWN LPs from 1973 & 1974

American Country Countdown, also known as ACC, is a weekly internationally syndicated radio program which counts down the top 40 country songs of the previous week, from No. 40 to No. 1, according to the Billboard Country Airplay chart.  The program premiered in 1973 and was conceived as a spinoff program from American Top 40, which had premiered in 1970 and showcased the week's most popular singles.  The program was a creation of Casey Kasem and Don Bustany, the same duo behind AT40, with Tom Rounds as co-creator and Watermark Inc. distributing.

Offered for sale here are original vinyl record of American Country Countdown broadcasts from 1973 and 1943:

-   three LPs (1A, 1B, 2B, 3A) dated 10/27/73, program C734-4 in their 12-⅜ x 12-⅜ x ⅝ inch box with the same date.  Paperwork with the address of Watermark on Ventura Blvd in North Hollywood is included for cycle C-734, the program 4 dated 27 October 1973.

-   two LPs (1A, 1B, 2B, 3A) dated 12/15/73, program C734-11 in their 12-⅜ x 12-⅜ x ⅝ inch box with the same date.

-   one LP (2A, 3B) dated 4/13/74, program C742-2.

These vintage (nearly 50 year old!) vinyl records contain country music by artists like Jerry Lee Lewis, Tanya Tucker, Merle Haggard, Statler Brothers, Faron Young, Olivia Newton-John, Charlie Pride, Waylon Jennings, Eddie Arnold, Jeanne Seely, Donna Fargo, Brenda Lee, Barbara Mandrell, Jeanne Pruett, Marie Osmond, Charlie Rich, Ray Price, Don Gibson, Dottie West, Willie Nelson, Jack Greene, Lynn Anderson, Conway Twitty, George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Mel Tillis, Freddy Weller, and others.

Our photos show the actual American Country Countdown LPs offered for sale.  They are in very nice condition, but we do not own a record player any more so we did not play / test them.  Note that both boxes have writing on them and some of the song titles in the cue sheet are underlined, also in green ink.
