Ultra Rare and collectible. Guitar Shorty's first release on the legendary Cobra label out of Chicago. This from 1957. I believe this record has only come up for sale on eBay twice in the last 10 years. Don't miss your chance to get this as who knows how many more copies there are out there? Guitar Shorty himself has said that only a very limited run were pressed.
I have given a grading of VG- to this. Please take a look at the detailed pictures and I have provided full sound clips of both sides. There are no significant or deep scratches and it does not skip or tick. It has lost a little shine over the years and there is a little background noise on playback as is to be expected. Some fading to labels and some minor writing on A side (You Don't Treat Me Right).
Although both sides are killer blues recordings, my favorite side is the more upbeat Irma Lee.
I have what I believe to be a low-ish reasonable reserve on this after consultation with reputable valuers. I have also had some private interest in this and offline offers. However, in interests of fairness I will let the auction run its course and it will go to the highest bidder. Please bid to win.

"After a particularly strong performance by Shorty in Florida, the great Willie Dixon, who was in the audience, approached Shorty and said, "I like what you're doing. You've got something different. I gotta get you in the studio." A few weeks later Shorty was in Chicago and, backed by Otis Rush on second guitar, he cut his first single, "Irma Lee" b/w "You Don't Treat Me Right," for Chicago's famed Cobra Records (the first label home for Rush, Magic Sam and Buddy Guy) in 1957. "Willie Dixon was a huge influence on me and my singing," Shorty remembers. "Willie helped me find my own singing voice and showed me how to tell a story with my words."
