Description

THESE RARE 10" long-play recordings (33-1/3 rpm) I normally sell for $40-100 each, depending on quality and popularity. These five as a package are a super bargain!  I enumerate below the unusual details about 10" recordings, which heralded the long-play development of the record business.  This package includes:  VICTOR YOUNG, APRIL IN PARIS (DL-5259) which includes April in Paris, Dancing with You, Speak to Me of Love, Pigalle, Beyond the Sea, Comme Ci, Comme Ca, The River Seine, and La Vie en Rose; JOS CLEBER, PRESENTS HIS COSMOPOLITAN ORCHESTRA,(P-10055 R) (he is a Dutch violinist and trombonist) 12 songs; HORVATH LACI, PLAY GIPSI PLAY (P-10302 R), eight Hungarian Gipsy songs; GERALDO AND HIS CONCERT ORCHESTRA, TANGO TIME, (BBR-8005 or B 10701 R) eight tangos; MANTOVANI, LANGSPIEL-PLATTE (LF-1048) English waltz rhythms to Wyoming, Under the Roof of Paris, Kisses in the Dark, For You, Diane, Babette, Just for a While and Charmaine.  All five are in VG condition with nice covers as well.  ABOUT 10" LP'S: The industry developed long-play capability in 33-1/3 rpm about 1946 and used the old 78 rpm stamping machines for the first experimental recordings, because nobody had the machinery to play 33-1/3.  It revolutionized the business because rather than one song on each side, you could put several songs.  About 1955 the industry expanded the size of the record itself to 12".  All these recordings will play perfectly on your 33-1/3 equipment.  Check out my other items!
