Up for auction is a nice lot of 5 Old Hillbilly 78s.Four are from the 1920s and one is from 1937.First 78 is on Columbia D label # 15095-D.Has Riley Puckett and Bob Nichols playing the song My Carolina Home.other side is has riley Puckett playing I,m Driftin' Back To Dreamland.this 78 was recorded on April 22nd 1926 so it came out shortly after that.Record in Beautiful shape.The My Carolina Home side has 3 extremely light scratches and 1 light scratch.Has 3 extremely lighjt not very noticeable line scuffs along with 3 light line scuffs.This side is Beautiful with tons of groove shine.The I,m Drifting Back To Dreamland side has 3 extremely light scratches and 4 light scratches.Has 2 small scratches I can lightly feel with fingernail.Some extremely light scuffing with a small amount of light scuffing.This side Terrific looking with a Ton of groove shine.2nd 78 is Ralph Richardson on is on Okeh Electric label # 45267.This is part of the 45000 Country Okeh label series as most of you already know.This 78 was recorded on July 31st 1928.Both sides of label says Yodel with Instrumental Trio.Songs titled Sauerkraut Is Bully on one side and has Little Dog Yodel on the other side.Great looking 78.The Sauerkraut Is Bully side has 5 extremely light scratches and 2 small light scratches.Has 1 very tiny scratch I can feel with fingernail and 1 other small scratch I can lightly feel with fingernail.Also has some very light and some light scuffing.This side has a bunch of Great looking groove shine.The Little Dog Yodel side has 5 extremely light scratches and 5 light scratches.Has some extremely light scuffing and a small amount of light scuffing.This side also looks Great with a bunch of groove shine.3rd 78 is by Burnett And Rutherford and is on Columbia d label # 15209.This 78 was recorded on November 3rd 1927.Songs titled Billy In The Low Ground on one side and has Ladies On The Steamboat on the other side.Beautiful looking 78.The Billy In The Low Ground side has 3 small extremely light scratches and 3 small light scratches.1 extremely tiny scratch I can feel with fingernail and 1 very tiny scuff I can feel with fingernail..Has some Extremely light and some light scuffing.Has a ton of Great looking Groove shine.The Ladies On The Steamboat side has 2 small extremely light scratches and 1 small light scratch.Has 2 tiny pit marks I can feel with fingernail.I don't believe these will affect play as they are quite tiny.Has a small amount of extremely light scuffing and a small amount of light scuffing.Has a bunch of Groove shine.4th 78 is by Riley Puckett and is on Columbia D label # 15058-D.This 78 was recorded on September 30th 1925.Songs titled Won't You Come Over To My House on one side and has Down By The Old Mill Stream on the other side.The Down By The Old Mill Stream side looks Terrific with 5 small extremely light scratches and 1 small light scratch.Has a small scratch near end of song I can feel with fingernail.I don't think the scratch will affect play.Has some extremely light scuffing along with a small amount of light scuffing.Still has alot of groove shine.The Won't You Come Over To My House side has 6 extremely light scratches and 3 light scratches.Has a small scratch I can feel lightly with fingernail and a very tiny scratch near beginning of song I can feel with fingernail.This side also has alot of groove shine.The last 78 is by Clayton McMichen's Georgia Wildcats and is on the Decca Sunburst label # 5424.This 78 was recorded on July 22nd 1937 and came out very shortly after that.Songs titled Yum Yum Blues on one side and has I Want My Ribs on the other side.The Yum Yum Blues side has multiple very light to light scratches with 2 small scratches I can feel extremely lightly with fingernail.This side also has multiple very light and light scuffing marks.Has some of those tiny raised dots which are common on Decca Sunburst and Victor Scroll 78s grooves.I don't believe these will affect play at all.has good shine and should play very nicely.The I Want My Ribs side has multiple very light and light scratches with 1 very small scratch I can feel with fingernail.Also has multiple very light and light scuffs with 2 small scuffing lines I can feel lightly with fingernail.Has a small area with a groove bump which occured when record was pressed.On this side only and should not affect play at all.Great lot of 5.If the buyer is n ot 1005 satisfied I have a return for refund on all records I sell.
