Description

This lot contains five 12-inch 33 RPM movie soundtrack LP's by Elvis Presley, all on the RCA Victor label, plus three bonus items. Taking first the five LP's in the order shown in the pictures, they are:
RCA Victor # LPM-2426 -- "Blue Hawaii" (mono)
RCA Victor # LSP-3338 -- "Girl Happy" (stereo)
RCA Victor # LPM-2621 -- "Girls! Girls! Girls!" (mono)
RCA Victor # APL1-2565 -- "Clambake" (stereo)
RCA Victor # LPM-2256 -- "G. I. Blues" (mono)
The three bonus items (shown as a group and then individually, both sides, in the last seven pictures) are:
RCA Victor # LSP-3468 -- "Harum Scarum" (stereo) -- record only, no cover
RCA Victor # LPM-2756 -- "Fun in Acapulco" (mono) -- record only, no cover
RCA Victor # LPM-2697 -- "It Happened at the World's Fair" (mono) -- cover only, no record
In terms of condition, the records range from VG+ (shiny and very little visible surface wear) to very heavily played (less shiny and huge amounts of surface scuffs and scratches). I've played one side of each record on my Audio-Technica turntable, and they had varying degrees of background hiss, but - with the exception of "Blue Hawaii" and "Fun in Acapulco" - they played through without any skips or jumps (which is an observation, not a guarantee).
The two that look and play the best are "Girl Happy" and "Clambake", which had mostly just negligible or lightly audible background noise. At the other end of the scale, "Blue Hawaii" is riddled with needle scratches, and also played with the most background noise, including some forward jumps (no repeats on the side that I played, but, again, that's not a guarantee). Second worst was "Fun in Acapulco", which doesn't look quite as bad but played similarly. And "GI Blues" was not far behind (but no skips on the sides that I chose to play). "Girls! Girls! Girls!" and "Harum Scarum" fall somewhere in between - very playable but still with some audible background hiss.Because of variations in tracking ability, filtering technology and needle weights, I can offer no guarantees as to how well they will play on your equipment.
Please check the pictures for damage to the covers, including scuffs, stains, stickers and inscriptions. Ranking them in order of functionality, all three seams are totally or almost totally split on the "Girls! Girls! Girls!" and "GI Blues" covers. At the other end of the scale, "It Happened at the World's Fair" is the only one without any seam splits. The ones in between are at least partially split on at least one seam.

International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. Customs fees are normally charged by the shipping company or collected when you pick the item up. These fees are not additional shipping charges. We won't under-value merchandise or mark the item as a gift on customs forms. Doing that is against U.S. and international laws.   COMBINED SHIPPING: See our seller list for other interesting and unusual items, in fact bid on several and you might save on shipping and handling. If you buy multiple items, and if it's feasible and cost-effective for us to ship the items together, we will gladly consider requests to combine shipping at a reduced cost. Just e-mail us, and we can provide combined shipping cost estimates on a case-by-case basis. Depending on weight and other considerations, we typically offer full shipping rate for the first item, then 50 cents or $1.00 per item. And if you are purchasing multiple items, please make the payment as a single payment, rather than trying to pay for each item separately. Oh, and this may sound obvious, but we can't reduce the shipping charges for items on which we offer free shipping.
SHIPPING COSTS: If the eBay auto-calculator is not responding, or if you think our shipping costs are too high, please contact us prior to bidding to determine your shipping options and costs. Repeat, prior to bidding, please.
FEEDBACK: Because of abuses we've experienced in the past, we have totally given up on the eBay feedback system, so we neither give nor expect feedback. Please, therefore, do not contact us after the auction asking us to leave feedback. If you ever have a problem with an item you purchase from us, please contact us directly about it before giving negative feedback or seller ratings, and especially before invoking eBay's dreaded Grand Tribunal in processes like "Return Requests" or "Opening an Item Not as Described Case." No one is perfect, and we occasionally mis-describe something, or an item arrives late or gets damaged in the mail, but we are always quick to respond to a problem and set it straight in the most mutually agreeable way.
