Mitch Miller (in charge of talent at Columbia Records) discovered Albert Cernik in 1950 and convinced him to change his name to Guy Mitchell. Guy would go on to record ten chart hits on the pop charts and even more on the country charts. "Singing The Blues" was his first hit and his biggest reaching #1 on the national charts in 1956. This record is on Columbia Records "Hall Of Fame" series and features "Heartaches By The Number" (#1 in 1959) on the flip side. The record is in Very Good Plus condition and the Sleeve is brand new.
