4 Teen Idol Lps RICKY NELSON, FABIAN, DION & EVERLY BROTHERS You’re bidding on 4 albums from some of the greatest Teen Idols of all time. (All records have been PLAY TESTED and have NO SKIPS.) COMBINED NEAR MINT VALUE of these 4 albums is $400.00! Here’s what you get:

1) "THE FABULOUS FABIAN" (Chancellor CHL-5005 Mono) 1959 You’re looking at a nice copy of a 50 YEAR OLD GATEFOLD ALBUM that still has the SUPER RARE POSTER attached to it. The NEAR MINT VALUE of this album is $50.00! Here are the particulars:

RECORD: (VG-) Play tested. No skips. Vinyl has some scuffs and surface scratches, but still looks pretty good. It does have its share of "pops", but the record still plays fairly well.

LABELS: "Both labels have spindle marks and show some wear, but still look pretty good.

EXTERIOR GATEFOLD COVER: (VG+) The front and back cover photos looks fantastic. Colors are sharp and vibrant with very little wear except for a small amount of bumping along the open edge of the back gate. There is absolutely no splitting or fraying anywhere except for some minor dings on a couple of the corners. The exterior of this really cool gatefold album is a great example of Teen Idol cover art. (SEE IMAGES.)

INTERIOR GATEFOLD COVER: (VG-) Has some light brown stains near the open edge next to the song lists. There are also a couple of light brown stains on a few of the black & white photos. The full color, 24 x 18 inch FABIAN POSTER is still attached to the inside cover. It does have tape stains in the middle fold where it had been taped decades ago. (This ancient tape just fell off when I first unfolded the poster. Since the bottom half was still attached to the cover, I retaped the top half back to it so the entire poster can still be attached to the album.) There are some pieces missing from when the poster pulled apart. It has it’s share of flaws, but its still a pretty cool looking poster of the man who came to epitomize the manufacturing of Teen Idols. (SEE IMAGES.)

SPINE: A nearly perfect example of a spine from a 50 YEAR OLD GATEFOLD ALBUM! Flat as can be with all its text sharp and perfectly centered. It’s only flaws being some minor corner damage at the top and bottom. (SEE IMAGES.)

SLEEVE: Comes in a new generic sleeve.

2) "RICKY SINGS AGAIN" RICKY NELSON (Imperial LP-9061) 1959 You’re looking at a nice copy of a 50 YEAR OLD ALBUM that has a NEAR MINT VALUE of $100.00! Here are the particulars:

RECORD: (GOOD) Play tested. No skips. Has multiple scuffs and surface scratches. It does have its share of "pops", but the record still plays fairly well.

LABELS: (Black label with Stars.) Both labels have multiple spindle marks and some "splotches", but still look fairly good.

COVER: (VG-) The front cover image of Ricky looks very good, but the outer edges and the corners have definitely seen better days. The entire top seam, and about half of the bottom seam, were split, so I went ahead and taped them. (I rarely ever tape album covers that I sell, but I thought some of these Teen Idol covers needed it.) The back cover has yellowed and shows its age. It’s far from perfect, but it’s still a really cool looking album cover featuring a great photo of the Late Ricky Nelson. (SEE IMAGES.)

SPINE: Not much to look at either. Lots of crinkling and yellowing.

SLEEVE: Comes in new generic sleeve.

3) "A DATE WITH THE EVERLY BROTHERS" (Warner Brothers W-1395 Mono) 1960 You’re looking at a nice copy of a 49 YEAR OLD GATEFOLD ALBUM that has a NEAR MINT VALUE of $50.00! Here are the particulars:

RECORD: (VG-) Play tested. No skips. Has multiple surface scratches and pops, but the record still plays fairly well.

LABELS: Both labels have some spindle marks but still look very good.

GATEFOLD COVER: (VG) The front and inside of this gatefold cover look really good with only some minor wear at the bottom center of the front cover and along the top of the side of the inside left gate. This cover has also had some taping from me. (About 5 inches on the top right corner of the front gate, and about 2 inches at the open top end of the back cover.) The back cover has a good amount of wear and is missing some of the fold out parts. Still a pretty cool looking album cover. (SEE IMAGES.)

SPINE: A fairly good example of a spine from a 49 YEAR OLD GATEFOLD ALBUM! Not as nice as the one on Fabian’s album, but still pretty flat with all its text fairly sharp and well-centered. It’s got that little split in the middle and some corner damage at the top and bottom. (SEE IMAGES.)

SLEEVE: Comes in new generic sleeve.

4) "ALONE WITH DION" (Laurie LL-2004 Mono) 1960 You’re looking at a nice copy of a 49 YEAR OLD GATEFOLD ALBUM that includes the SUPER RARE WALLET PHOTO SHEET. The NEAR MINT VALUE of this album with the Photos is $200.00! Here are the particulars:

EXTERIOR GATEFOLD COVER: (VG-) This one is laminated. The front and back cover photos of Dion look fantastic, but there is a small amount of water damage on the bottom of the front cover, and a good bit more at the bottom and of the back cover. There is also a big crease at the top left corner of the front cover. There is no splitting or taping anywhere, but all four corners do have some bumps and/or fraying. Once again, another great example of Teen Idol cover art. (SEE IMAGES.)

INTERIOR GATEFOLD COVER: (VG-) The inside of this gatefold cover is not laminated. It does have some water damage issues along the bottom, plus tape residue from a magazine photo of Dion that the original owner attached all those years ago. (The photo was no longer attached and was badly damaged, so I threw it away.) The RARE WALLET PHOTO SHEET had also come loose from its frame, but was inside with the record when I got the album last January. It has a little bit of water staining near the bottom, but is still in great shape. (SEE IMAGES.)

LABELS: Both labels have some spindle marks and light scratches, but still look really good.

SPINE: Another very good example of a spine from a 48 YEAR OLD GATEFOLD ALBUM! Not quite as nice as the one on Fabian’s album, but pretty darn close. It’s still very flat with all its text clear, sharp and well-centered. It’s got that little mark in the middle and some corner damage at the top and bottom. (SEE IMAGES.)
