Up for auction I have four Bob Marley & The Wailers LPs. All are vintage 1970s pressings, two Jamaican and two American.
Overall condition is very good, all records have been played over the years but looked after well. Expect vinyl surfaces show some general light marks and wear, nothing nasty though. Similarly, covers are nice and functional but also show some general wear from use and storage.
Also expect them to sound fantastic! Recent reissues simply cannot compete with the sound of original records mastered straight from tape.
1. Rastaman Vibration
Original first US pressing from 1976 on Island Records, ILPS9383. Comes in textured gatefold sleeve.
2. Catch A Fire
Jamaican issue from the mid-late 1970s on Tuff Gong, 422-846 201-1. Some red pen marks on side 2 label. Nice solid thick vinyl pressing.
3. Natty Dread
Original first US pressing from 1974 on Island Records, ILPS9281. Complete with picture inner sleeve, which has a small split along the bottom seam.
4. Survival
Original 1979 Jamaican pressing on the Tuff Gong label, DSR 9693/9694. Again, nice heavy piece of vinyl!
