Our GRADING for pskorst (our sister 78 record ebay name) and us ( bigbillkorst ) is as follows strong V+, V+, strong V, V, weak V, V- and Poor. A strong V+ in my book is going be nearly flawless--or very light flaws--I rarely do a V++--a strong V+ is going be sharp with little to very little wear. A strong V (not +) may have light scratches--nothing significant--no digs here. I suggest trying one of our strong V records or better to get an idea of where my grading is at-- I am very aware of hair cracks, rim chips that affect grooves (and will spot them) and will mention anything that (rule of thumb) you can feel with your finger nail. Luckily my eye sight is good up close so I strive to have very consistent grading.
33RPM This sale is for a 12" vinyl 33rpm circa 1950 record it is a Dial LP 901 Charlie Parker, Bird Blows the Blues this vinyl (black vinyl--I held under light I saw no red in the vinyl) is about a V with some issues ; the 7-8 song on side 2 Relaxing at Camarillo has groove damage so I would call that track a V- to weak V- -our expert looked at it and says that track will be noisy to some extent--see the last picture for the discoloration on that track. The rest of the vinyl is the side 1 side has some lesser groove damage on the 1st half of again the Relaxing at Camarillo tune--the 3rd tune Dark Shadows on side 1 has the 3rd worse flaw a pencil eraser sized scuff--besides those 3 spots I don't see anything more then just minor type scratches, scuffs and blemishes --Songs are on both sides Relaxing at Camarillo, Carvin' the Bird, Dark Shadows, Blowtop Blues, Bongobop and Cool Blues this has great Jazz musicians Miles Davis, Dodo Marmarosa, Max Roach and Wardell, Gray just to name a few. Songs are on the picture labels also. Will be in a plain generic white LP jacket and a inner sleeve. The labels have slight wear--a scratch on side 1 label --see scans . . See photos.
