About the Artist
Mercury Prize nominee Róisín Murphy will take over the Globe Theatre for the theatre’s first ever contemporary live music performance under the stars. Previously one half of electronic duo Moloko, Róisín has gone on to receive critical acclaim with her adventurous, electro-inspired pop solo career. Celebrating the release of her fourth solo album, Take Her Up To Monto, which is influenced by bands including Talking Heads, Grace Jones and Pixies, her idiosyncratic music is the perfect soundtrack for this magical special performance.
Róisín’s set will be introduced by a DJ set from Lauren Laverne, who is curating the Globe’s Wonder Women music series in collaboration with The Pool.
