1.) Latin Soul Rock contains the great jam "Smoke" (written by D. Ervin), as well as the much-boogied-to "Soul Makossa" presented with special guest Manu Dibango. Other guests include Guests include Billy Cobham, Mongo Santamaria, Jorge Santana & Jan Hammer. Line-up features Willie Colon, Ray Barretto, Bobby Valentin, Ricardo Ray, Hector Lavoe & Johnny Pacheco. Awesome live concert at Yankee Stadium NYC on Aug. 24, 1973. Our second offering in this lot, Fania All-Stars at Yankee Stadium vol. 2 is the conclusion of this amazing performance and also features the same special performers. 40,000 turned out! Owner stored these LPs in a protective plastic inner sleeve, maintaining their fine condition.

DISCS -
We give great importance to grading our items accurately. These albums contain no scratches, visible needle wear, warping, skips, or residue on playing surface or dead wax. The surface sheen looks really fine for all.  Fania All-Stars Live has a small amount of light inaudible surface scuffs on side B. Latin Soul Rock has some small inaudible scuffs on side A & a tick on cut one lasting  three revolutions. I grade Latin Soul Rock as VG+, but it is oh so close to Near Mint. (Stamped in dead wax of the three LPs is "STERLING" presumably for the mastering engineer, George Marino of Sterling Sound.

 COVERS NEAR MINT -

No seam splits, stains, water damage, cut-out marks, writing, stickers, tears or color fading. Hardly any corner banging or ring wear, except Latin Soul Rock, which has small corner banging & very very slight rubbing. Spines look quite nice and are fully readable.  The poster, in excellent condition with no blemishes, is a full-size 20" by 24" artifact with printed autographs of the participants. Fania labels are just about flawless with no signs of contact: no writing, stickers, fading or cuts. Sharp print, rich color. Really sharp cut holes.
