Description
Offered here is a trio of LPs by one of the most legendary early rock ‘n’ rollers, Eddie Cochran. All in superb condition, they are a must-have for any discerning rock ‘n’ roll record collection! The first LP is titled “My Way”, issued by Liberty in 1968, with sleeve notes by Nigel Hunter. Track listing is as follows:
Side 1: My Way/Little Angel/Eddie’s Blues/Love Again/I Almost Lost My Mind/Jam Sandwich/Little Lou.
Side 2: Blue Suede Shoes/Lonely/Hammy Blues/My Love To Remember/Milk Cow Blues/Guybo/Long Tall Sally.
The second LP is titled “The Hollywood Sessions”, issued by Rockstar Records in 1985, with sleeve notes by Derek Glenister, it contains some rare tracks recorded by Eddie from 1956 to 1959 at Gold Star Studios in Hollywood, California. Track listing is as follows:
Side 1: Jelly Bean/That’s What It Takes To Make A Man/Fourth Man Theme/Kiss & Make Up/Half Loved/Guybo (Meet Me Down Town)/Hide & Go Seek/Take My Hand (I’m Lonely).
Side 2: Don’t Bye, Bye Baby Me/Bread Fred/ Bad Baby Doll/Itty Bitty Betty/Dark Lonely Street/Strollin’ Guitar (Six Shooter)/Fontella/Once More. “Most timings include dialogue between out-takes and masters”.
The third LP is titled “The Eddie Cochran Memorial Album”, issued by Liberty in 1963 or 1964. It contains 14 tracks from 1959 and 1960, including his most well-known classics. Track listing is as follows:
Side 1: C’mon Everybody/Three Steps To Heaven/Cut Across Shorty/Jeannie, Jeannie, Jeannie/Pocketful Of Hearts/Hallelujah, I love Her So/Don’t Ever Let Me Go.
Side 2: Summertime Blues/Teresa/Somethin’ Else/Pretty Girl/Teenage Heaven/Boll Weevil Song/I Remember.
