3. Summary: It was the last week of October 1978 when the movie Halloween was released. The following year record company Hall Of Music repackaged their 2-Lp Goofy Gold album of 20 novelty songs with 5 tracks on each of the 4 sides that were being marketed in music stores. The newly created “Goofy Gold” record one side A was expanded from the original 5 tracks & added 2 selections from the second discarded album, while the new B side included 4 tracks also taken from side C&D of the original “Goofy Gold”. Now the newly created first album of Side A&B consisted of 17 of the original 20 novelty songs from both sides ( Record 1 -A,B, Record 2 -C,D)  Side A. Still listed Monster Mash as the first novelty song. 
   

4. This 1962 monstrous hit was referred to as a ‘graveyard smash’ for Bobby “Boris” Pickett. The song originally entered the Billboard Charts in time for Halloween 1962. Now this newly packaged double album by HRB Music entitled  “Goofy Gold” was being advertised and marketed in time for Halloween 1979 with the newly created second LP replacement of non-music with haunting sounds of horror and terror. The replacement record of Halloween sound effects LP for the novelty record was simply labeled record  Side C & D - Terror 61 Sounds Of Horror- with no description of what to expect on either side of the recording unless you responded to the commercial by buying the album after watching the TV commercial. Also the text on the back of the original double vinyl collection of novelty recordings  themes songs was replaced with a Halloween theme with a full moon & 6- color drawing (photo) of Count  Dracula with the caption below-HORROR SOUNDS OF TERROR
