1948-1949 Two Clef 10"records (with trumpet player logo) Box Set "The Jazz Scene" produced by Norman Granz illustrating the contemporary Jazz Scene in an effort to mirror the contemporary artists  of the time presenting such luminaries as Ellington, Hawkins, Parker and Young  portrayed along side of "lesser known , but no less important musically, artists such as Machito and Bud Powell". Also incuded "are arranger - composers such as Ralph Burns, George Handy, and Neil Hefti". The liner notes appear on the inner side of the box cover and Granz notes that "we intend to make The Jazz Scene a yearly affair presenting  new jazz stars as they appear."

The records do not have a distinctive number but each side contains a number in parenthesis that are included in the side descriptions.
