Description
Very scarce original pressing of "Nommos" by Craig Leon from 1981 on the Takoma label (TAK-7096).

Craig Leon, who produced the debut albums by The Ramones, Blondie, Richard Hell, and Suicide, was fascinated with the Dogon of Mali and their myths of extraterrestrial visitors they called the Nommos. The music on this album is his concept of what their alien music would sound like. It was recorded using the Oberheim OB-X, Roland JP-4 and Arp 2600 synthesizers and a prototype of the LM-1 drum machine.
The cover has a large radio station sticker on the front as well as numerous creases and edgewear and is in VG condition. There is a gold promo stamp on the back. The vinyl grades VG+/EX; it has exceptional clarity and sound quality and, aside from the random stray pop, plays quite nicely. Visually, there are just a few light, wispy surface scratches, and the labels are clean with no spindle marks. Turn it up and take a cosmic journey!
