Two Classic Records from the early 70's.
The first record is Los Lobos first ever record from 1976. Original With Lyric Insert. Rarest Of The Los Lobos Albums By A Mile (Probably Less Than 500 Pressed). Proceeds From This Benefit Album Went To The United Farm Workers. All Arrangements By Los Lobos Del Este De Los Angeles (As They Were Then Known). Lozano, Guitarron, Upright Bass, Background Vocals; Louie Perez, Charango, Vihuela, Guitar, Requinto Romantico, Palitos; Cesar Rosas, Guitar, Mandolin, Background Vocals; Frank Gonzales, Harp, Mandolin, Guitar, Harmonica, Background Vocals.
The second record is the songs of the United Farm Workers by El Teatro Campesino. Out of the need to raise the farmworkers' consciousness and to encourage them to unite, El Teatro Campesino was created to entertain and uplift the morale by the struggling strikers. Today, the group has also published books, poems, posters, and other printed matter; produced films and tapes; and recorded albums. Born on the picket lines of the DElano Grape Strike of 1965, "El Campesino" is a bi-lingual farm workers theater devoted to social change.
