Never Turn Your Back on a Friend is Budgie's powerhouse masterpiece. Never Turn Your Back on a Friend is full of Burke Shelley's awesome vocals and powerful basslines, Tony Bourge's furious guitar action and driving drumming by Ray Philips. Some of the most powerful and furious songs of Budgie's career are here, such as, their most influential song, the powerhouse Breadfan. Other high-wire tunes are the thumping In The Grip Of A Tyrefitter's Hand and the gorgeous heavy-ballad Parents. The guitar riffs are excellent throughout, vocalist Burke Shelley really belts it out, and the energy seldom stops, with a high-powered workouts such as "Baby Please Don't Go" & "You're The Biggest Thing Since Powdered Milk".
