V/A - The Grand Kentucky Junction and Other Songs
from the NSS Cave Ballad Competition LP
1973 release, private pressing. This is is a compilation of folk songs in different styles. NSS is the National Speleological Society. Musically this is really cool, some great female solo folk songs. All songs about caving, 6 songs on 1 side, 2 long songs on side 2. The cover is blank with with a 6 page insert that has lyrics and song information. All tracks seem to be recorded in 1973. Every song is really good, you can check out some of the songs via the links below. There was also a 1972 cave ballad LP which was mentioned in the online version of the Acid Archives, but this release is simply unknown, no information at all.
Condition: vinyl is VG+ visually some signs of wear, fine on playback.
Sleeve is a generic white cover. Insert is clean
