His music has become an identifiable part of the show itself, and now stands on its own inventive- ness in this album. For his music in the show, Charles Fox has twice been honored with Emmy Awards—once for the theme, and more recently for the score itself. The concept of the album is to portray through vocals and instrumentals the dis- tinctive musical sounds of Love, American Style. Side One consists of five vocals either based on themes in the show or actually sung in various episodes, and in- cludes an exciting version of the theme song Love, Amer- ican Style. His film credits include Goodbye Columbus, A Separate Peace, Barbarella, The Laughing Policeman, and The Last American Hero. Fox, with his lyric-collabo-' rator Norman Gimbel, composed the international hit Kill biff Me Softly With His Song. Together, they have written and produced the first two albums for one of Capitol’s brightest female stars, Lori Lieberman.
