We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

"TEENAGE HEAD" delivers a serious "hard-'n'-raw" side of the Groovies... Teenage Head is every "philosophically minded" rock critic's wet dream...
The liner notes on this release keep ranting about how Teenage Head is better than the Stones' own Sticky Fingers, and while that's a blunt, gross exaggeration typical of liner notes to "forgotten classics" (hey, how else do you make people buy 'em?), the Groovies' musical vision at this point is closer to the Stones than anybody else, and/or anybody else's. And a big part of this vision is - to have some of your own, to infuse something that nobody else does into songs that would otherwise be completely generic.
Teenage Head belongs, entirely and completely, to guitarist/vocalist Roy Loney. No song sounds even remotely like the previous, with Loney going through a whole buncha transformations - from a raving garage punk snarl to rednecky brawl to a voodoo-like bloozy swagger, to a sensitive pseudo-epic delivery to whatever-you-name-it. Again, the Groovies touch on a lot of styles, being just a wee bit more creative this time around, and the creativity of Loney's vocal journeys fully matches and at times exceeds expectations.
The album has next to no filler among these tracks, which is also significantly due to their sequencing: the way they intersperse absolutely different moods and absolutely different goals makes Teenage Head far from ever boring. Unlike the Stones, who don't really pull any punches about anything they're doing, you can see the Groovies insert a touch of parody and even self mockery into everything they do, and it shows on this album. After all, the Stones would never be even remotely close to trying out something like 'Evil Hearted Ada', even if Mick Jagger could do a direct Elvis impersonation. A riff borrowed directly off 'Mystery Train', and low-pitched growling vocals so heavily drenched in echo and reverb it can't be NOT judged as a parody - an absolutely hilarious one, too. Loney goes so over the top with his crooning (magnify each of these by three to account for all the echo effects). They dig this music, and they deconstruct it at the same time.

CONDITION: The cover is in original factory shrink wrapper, but the top half of the cover had moisture problem, so will rate this below VG at "G" ... the graphics on front are all still colorful and all but has mildew on back cover. The lower half of front and back cover are fine ...there is a small delete mark at upper pocket area. The reason we list this album is, while before the cover got half wet it was mint and the vinyl is mint, so get another cover and you've a TOP original ... no split seams, no writing and light bends from dry moisture.
The vinyl is all glossy clean M- TOP level, play graded minty clean ...the pink Kama Sutra labels are clean and not affected by moisture...TOP copy vinyl
