Description
Original 1970 earliest UK, possibly anywhere issue of Brazilian Samba by the Gimmicks on UK Decca ECS - R 2054. There was a Swedish issue of the same material but sung in Swedish, so I think this is the first issue of the set in English. A japanese Cd issue of this was around for $28.99 for a while, but the lp version here is as rare as hens teeth. A very Now Sound set, mixing true Brazilian tunes with Burt Bacharach to a samba beat, with the group including leader Leif Carlqvist, singers Anita Stramdell & May - Brit Persson, plus Roger Palm, Josip Seidl on Bass and Torsten Dannenberg on flute. Near mint record plays near mint, in an excellent sleeve. First year issue 1k1k stampers on the pristine playing surface dead wax here.
Where needed, lp's are cleaned on a moth mark 2 record cleaning machine using a wet wash and vacuum method, using distilled water and pure alcohol. .
