Visual Grading Explanations
MINT (M) Record and Cover are absolutely perfect in every way. Rarely is a Used Record graded Mint.
NEAR MINT (NM) - Record and Cover Look like they just came from a retail store. May not be able to tell if it has been played or not.
EX to NM-
EXCELENT (EX) Except for a few scuffs on record and cover they would be NM.
Record - Is bright and shiny, maybe a few surface scuffs, no needle scratches. Plays Excellent , Looks Excellent
Cover - Possible signs of wear on edges or corners. No writing, tears, stains, or splits. Back and Front Cover have no noticeable damage.
VG+) to EX -
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) Great Sounding. Not for people who want Album Covers and/or Records that look almost New.
Record - Show more signs of use, still has some gloss, but could have surface scuffs, scratches and hairline cacking, "spider webs" caused by records rubbing something while stacked with no inner sleeve protection. Possible marks around the center hole. Maybe at very slight light warp that won't affect the sound are OK. Label discoloration might be present. Plays Great. No Noticeable Sound Issues.
Cover - Some minor wear on edges and corners, maybe a faint start of a record ring, very minor damage, if any, on the body of the cover. In general, looks very good.
VG to VG+
VERY GOOD (VG) (Bottom End of a Good Playing Record)
Record - Could lack some gloss found on factory-fresh records. No skips, but may have scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail. When played they could have surface noise or scratches that may be audible, especially in soft passages and during a songs intro and ending.
Cover - Might have some ring wear, obvious, but not overwhelming. Possible writing on the record or cover, some seam-splitting might be present, or maybe clear tape. Some wear on sides corners. In general, looks good, not all shredded on the sides or falling apart.
GOOD PLUS (G+), GOOD (G), and FAIR (F)
D I don't sell these records unless they are Highly Collectible, I would provide detail information on condition.
