1969 Original First Pressing The STOOGES, debut LP Record Album, ELEKTRA EKS-74051 Stereo. Punk Classic Produced by John Cale.
This is the true First Pressing! When this album was first released, ELEKTRA Records east coast New York City headquarters was located at the 1855 BROADWAY address. The company was still in the early planning stages to relocate to the Columbus Circle location.
The Inner Sleeve provides up to date information on the company that was current at the time it was published. Future plans for the company are shown, including an architect’s rendering of the proposed west coast Los Angeles office with a completion date of Fall 1969, plus the relocation soon of Elektra headquarters in New York City from 1855 Broadway to Columbus Circle.

Original Inner Sleeve
1855 BROADWAY, New York City printed on ALL items, including back of Jacket Cover, both sides of Inner Sleeve, and both sides of the RED LABELS!
U.S. First Pressings MUST Have the BROADWAY Address printed everywhere as mine does! If you see versions of this record without any address on the labels it is NOT a first pressing. This is because Elektra stopped printing the BROADWAY address on labels when the company actually began the relocating process. This was basic business common sense since they knew for a fact that the Broadway address was not needed anymore for business reasons and why risk losing all that mail and checks going to the old address? Columbus Circle address was either not fully set up and/or they wanted to be sure that if something unforeseen happened during the transition period to prevent full completion and occupancy of the new offices, it was wiser to wait on changing all the printing, etc.
Logically there is no way that labels with no address printed on them could have preceded labels that have BROADWAY addresses. Chronologically it would be impossible since there would be no way to print later pressings with BROADWAY addresses after the fact. Of course any pressings with Columbus Circle addresses are later pressings. If you see any old style gold colored labels on these albums out there, think: CANADA!
I take full sets of photographs of my items so that you see everything and you know what you are getting. Be suspicious of those selling this record without including photos of the labels, inner sleeves, etc. It is no accident that they are not shown, there is a reason that they do not show it.
The condition of this album is near mint for the record and very good plus for the cover, a few scuffs, bumps and visible ring wear but no split seams.
