PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. This album is incredible. British blues boom rock n' roll, with the incredible back-beat of it's leader the famed Aynsley Dunbar. Victor Brox on Vocals, Alex Dmochowski on bass, and John Moorshead on guitar are some of the best players of their time. If you like sixties British rockin' blues, you will not be disappointed with this album. Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation is deep into the night music, these tracks are serious blues from a man who assembled a group as rich and musically diverse as he was. This is no nonsense music, it is not from the heart, this is blues from the soul. Blues like this was made to move you, but Aynsley succeeds in barely giving you enough space between the notes to breath. The music is played low an deep, with a strength that does not require high volumes of power to blast you into compliance ... they simply pick up their instruments and strike chords that completely engulf your every sense. The best of these tracks are the ones that utilized Brox's gloomy, almost gothic organ, if only because it made them stand out more among the company of the many similar bands recording in the prime of the British blues boom. Otherwise Jon Morshead plays guitar well, his style sometimes seems quite influenced by Peter Green (listen to his work all over this album). The most distinguished ingredient being Dunbar's hard-hitting, swinging drums. "Dr Dunbar's Perscription" features original songs that were better than anything on the first album ("Fugitive," "Till Your Lovin' Makes Me Blue," and "Tuesday's Blues," the last of which has some songwriting and guitar work quite similar to Peter Green's late-'60s style in those departments), it's a slightly better listen, though not up to the standards of somewhat similar groups like Fleetwood Mac and John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers.
This is a perfect prescription for any late night when you just want to be totally awed ... when you drop the needle on these grooves, they will own you for all time.
