Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. Quite rare and collectible:
October 14, 1968 original British first pressing with the backflaps UK cover production...on the famously collected 'Regal Zonophone' label from 43 years ago, a highly rated, sought collectible getting rarer by the minute ... from the inner circles of the legendary London hippie music scene...
Steve Peregrine Took plays wailing bongos, djembe (which he just calls an ‘African drum’), a toy xylophone known as the Pixiphone, and wears a full-length cape on the cover. And Marc Bolan wrote all the songs. That should pretty much paint a clear picture of what this album is all about. “Salamanda Palaganda” is a great example of the odd falsetto vocal harmonic style Bolan would employ in his T. Rex and even later solo material (in this case delivered by Took). “Our Wonderful Brownskin Man” gets a mention simply for the notable title. And “O Harley (The Saltimbaques)” is one of the highlights, as Bolan hits the rhythmic groove ...he and Took get going, and with Took slapping the bongo skins and chanting the “O Harley” refrain to Bolan’s own wordless chanting. And the closing “Scenes of Dynasty” gets a mention as well, a song that seems to have been fully realized by Bolan. Took’s percussion consists of wood blocks or something similar and an occasional harmonic grunt. Bolan is (as always) difficult to follow as he sings another of his strange world-view poems, the occasional reference to “peace” and “justice” and something about skinning a jaguar, so it is authentic Bolan. The song opens and closes with a sense of conscious planning, and everything in the middle fits together...It's refreshing to hear Mark Bolan before his songwriting has been honed to exactly what it was with his later T. Rex project. Songs like Conesuela hint in the riff similar to Bang a Gong of the music that is yet to come. There's a lot of meritable material on here, Debora, Wind ka-ka Quartets, The Friend, Salamanda Palaganda, Eastern Spell, and Scenes of Dynasty. Bolan's lyrics are mostly incomprehensible as he sings in a slurring and shaking voice, often coming to a chorus of la de da's as the incessant tapping of various hand percussion instruments drone over like a hummingbird beating out a signal. The whole thing is charming...

CONDITION: The Cover: The cover is produced with a raised grainy material, having the British 60's produced "flipback" seams ...small bits of shelf wear is apparent, nothing near disturbing, just a little ...VG+ with strong seams, no seam splits, no obvious problems to cause any collector to put it downm unless those looking for strict mint. Still upper levels nice keper collectible with really no need to upgrade.
The Vinyl: is very clean and glossy both sides, near "EX" (excellent) ...just some light stray inner sleeve paper type scuffs is all, so plays TOP level, very enjoyable from the start. The famous REGAL ZONOPHONE labels are clean.
