We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1968 first pressing (a rare find in clean M- Vinyl) in THICK gatefold cover on the famed DERAM label finds the TYA breaking out in a bluesy psych direction with strong playing and infectious melodies within complex instrumentations...

Having focused on the blues over their first couple of albums, 1968's "Stonedhenge" found Alvin Lee and company taking some tentative steps to diversify and spread their creative wings, i.e. where the psychedelia crept in... While the album brought the band some initial commercial recognition in the States, that's not to say this set was any where near a commercial success -- on the contrary, made for prime underground FM radio play. The kick off track "Going To Try" is a top highlight with its infectious melody and strange delivery that offers the listener a new direction TYA were heading....even so, tracks such as 'A Sad Song' , 'No Title' and ''Hear Me Calling' blues remained the predominant sound, but this time around Lee and company took some stabs at writing rock and roll. Their best efforts are more enthusiastic than the album's pedestrian blues numbers, 'Woman Trouble' and 'Speed Kills' - although the latter's train crash ending was kind of jarring, and it's at best of high energy hard ripper in the best of TYA tradition. Strange as it may sound at first, once Alvin Lee's skat jam Skoobly Oobly Doobob' 'melody' get's ahold of you -- you'll know it for life.

CONDITION: The cover: The thick gatefold cover is solid shape VG++ just a little light shelf wear, nothing close to what most originals look like after 43 years (the cover did not wear well) so way above average here for the dark colors usually found with ring wear ...this copy is collectible...

The vinyl: is clean & glossy "M-" so nice ...plays clean ! Clean DERAM labels too....
