Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. MINTY VINYL plays BEAUTIFUL !!
Original 1968 first pressing on the collected USA "Mainstream" label. One of the best releases on the legendary Mainstream label -- two sides filled with infectious hard garage psych with brutal guitars...Lincoln St. Exit = the heavier side of the garage-punk classics::::
Lincoln Street Exit’s sole album is one of those efforts that’s generated considerable attention throughout the collecting community over the years.
Formed in 1964, the original line up consisted of Paul Chapman, drummer Lee Herres, singer/guitarist Michael Martin and bassist Mac Suazo. This was one of the few mid-1960s native American rock bands (all four members were New Mexico Sioux) to actively tour and record, the group struggled for six years with little recognition; managing to release three instantly obscure (and great!)singles during that time frame.
They caught attention of Detroit based "Mainstream Records" who agreed to issue the long-player "Drive It" ...a very strong/solid effort that ranges from the psych-heavy blues ridden "Dirty Mother Blues" to the flowing grooves of "Soulful Drifter." "Time Has Come Gonna Die" reflects the times & the Vietnam era vibe hanging over the U.S. - Kinda creepy, kinda doomy.... Elsewhere the EXIT deal with sexual urgency, as in "Straight Shootin' Man", "Got You Babe" and the ripping "Phantom Child" ...Guitarists Mike Martin & R.C. Gariss are in the forefront and are backed up by the rhythm section of Mac Suazo (bass) & Lee Herres (drums). This band opened for many a headliner coming through the Southwest, and provided great performances throughout. Outstanding! throughout both sides... "Drive It" has the hardrock garage feel complete with wah-wah guitars and angry young man attitude.
