RARE original 1968 second and last LEAVES album...an early TOP garage band on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, the Leaves had the folkrock sound ala BYRDS down but had rough fuzzed edges as well, a sound typical with the period garage rock delivery...The second album was released just as the Leaves were breaking up, therefore Capitol did not bother to promote it and is much harder to find than their first album... The Leaves was a prime movers on the Sunset Strip scene, who hit the charts with the best known, "Hey Joe" from their first album. Formed at San Fernando Valley State College in Northridge, CA. The band was founded by bass player Jim Pons, inspired by hearing The Beatles while a student at Cal State Northridge in Los Angeles. Besides Pons, the line up consisted of John Beck (vocalist) Bill Rinehart (lead guitar, replaced by Bobby Arlin), Tom Ray and Robert Lee Reiner. These short-lived California garage legends, released only 2 LP's. Their second album "All the Good That's Happening", was released before the band broke up in 1967 when Pons left to join The Turtles and Bobby Arlin went on to form heavy psychedelic band The Hook. The band's folk-rock sound is still its strongest side, and they play hard on numbers like "Twilight Sanctuary" and "With None Shoes," and give solid performances on "To Try For the Sun" and the old psych standard "Codine." (see Quicksilver Messenger Service) ...They get into a good dance groove on "Let's Get Together" and the band original "Officer Shayne", and achieve a sweet, languid spaciness on "On the Plane." The group's psychedelic efforts here, "The Quieting of Oliver Tweak" and "Lemmon Princess." Only Bobby Arlin was left at the finish of the sessions, and he filled the album out with the guitar-dominated, bluesy "Flashback."

CONDITION: The cover is solid ... all seams are tight, there is a delete drill at top left, otherwise the white colors are snow white which after 42+ years is saying something. VG++ to "EX" (excellent) all collectible
The vinyl is all glossy with a few little short soft scuffs here or there, nothing much, plays super fun & enjoyable, looks VG+, playing excellent and better.
INCLUDES the original printed Capitol records inner sleeve.
