Here is a very rare 1968 2-RECORD VINYL LP BOX SET (WITH BOOKLET) distributed to attendees of the 1968 COLUMBIA RECORDS NATIONAL CONVENTION held that year in San Juan, Puerto Rico on July 24, 1968. This particular convention was a lavish celebration of the 20th anniversary of the long-playing microgroove (LP) record album, which was introduced by Columbia back on June 21, 1948! This box set is entitled "20/20: Vision For The Future" (Columbia Masterworks ANS-201/2). Includes a 12" x 12" 28-page booklet and two 12-inch 33 1/3 rpm vinyl records all housed in a 12 3/8" x 12 3/8" x 7/8" box. The two LPs contain music excerpts, interviews, and commentary from Columbia executives and artists regarding the DEVELOPMENT, INTRODUCTION, and EVOLUTION of the LP RECORD! PETER GOLDMARK (one of the inventors of the LP), Columbia executive EDWARD "TED" WALLERSTEIN, Columbia Group President GODDARD LIEBERSON, former Columbia President JAMES B. (JIM) CONKLING, MITCH MILLER, CBS engineering and development director, WILLIAM BACHMAN, and CBS RECORDS chief, CLIVE DAVIS.
