Description
"THE CLIFF RICHARD STORY: NEW SINGER NEW SONG" by David Winter, published by Hodder & Stoughton Ltd in 1967 - first edition. This book has been signed by Cliff Richard in blue ink on the title page - he has signed his full name and there is no message or dedication. (The signature under the colour frontispiece photo is printed and part of the book).
This is a very interesting book as it covers just the early years of Cliff's career. The author, David Winter, was a close friend of Cliff and the editor of Crusade magazine so, understandably, Cliff's faith is strongly featured in the book.
The book is illustrated with 11 photos (all black and white except the frontispiece) and there is an appendix 'Cliff Richard's Career in Facts and Figures' which lists all his 45rpms, EPs and LPs, his films (with credits) and stage shows (with co-performers).
Condition: This secondhand book is in very good condition with minor wear and ageing. The dust jacket has a little shelf-wear.
