In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.

- You'll be hard pressed to find a garage psych album that's as consistent and has as much greatness as this one - the Only album by The Baroques. A lot of the time albums of this ilk are spotty with some decent originals and then a bunch of covers to flesh out the rest of the record. This album is all originals of The Baroques moody, kinda dark and a little bit dangerous songwriting. It's tough to pick any highlights as it's all of such a high standard. It's one of those records where there are no tracks to skip, no embarrassing missteps, no moments wondering what it the hell possessed them, etc.. In many ways their vibe reminds one of The Electric Prunes meeting Arthur Lee & Love tho' there is nothing here that is as produced as Love's seminal stuff - but like Love's best stuff there is a discernible air of danger to the album.

With song titles as preposterous as “A Musical Tribute to the Oscar Meyer Weiner Wagon,” who knows what the famed RnB label Chess Records was thinking when they decided to sign Milwaukee’s The Baroques in 1967. They did manage to stir up a little controversy with their anti-drug (so they claimed) song, “Mary Jane,” but besides that it looks like Chess was stuck with a very strange, unmarketable record. And don’t expect an onslaught of spacey sound effects and weird noises a la the early Pink Floyd, this is a less overt type of psychosis that slowly but surely embeds itself under your skin.
- If Arthur Lee barged into an Electric Prunes recording after obliterating his mind in an all-night drug binge it might have sounded something like this.

- The Baroques had a fuzz-guitar/keyboard-damaged sound that retained much of the garage intensity of ’67 while plunging into the acid rock experimentation that marked the latter part of the decade. Sure, there are traces of the Byrds and the Zombies, but by the time the Baroques have had their way with a melodious pop craft song, it’s like the deformed bastard child of those bands hobbling around on one leg. As on “Rose Colored Glasses,” where Jay Berkenhagen’s infectious odd, deep vocals bounce along with awkward (yet insanely catchy) riffs until settling into a gorgeous, harmony-laden chorus. “Nothing To Do But Cry” is an exceptional folk-rocker that’s dirtied up with some nice distorted jangling and raw power-chording. At their highest they veer into outstanding psychedelic laced nuggets (“Iowa, A Girl’s Name” “Musical Tribute…”). But what really sets them apart from other similarly-minded bands is the excessively gluoomy atmosphere which pervades most of the album. The sludge-folk of “Purple Day” and “Seasons” comes off like there is something absolutely hypnotizing lurking in the uncommonly dark textures of these songs.
