Description
we have been putting items on eBay regularly for over last 11 years or so usually on my partners account (Funky-Knitted-Wire) and have it seems a good reputation as we are a family not a shop so treat people as we would like to be treated and list contents and condition as honestly as we possibly can.
A little while back my partner decided I needed to have my own eBay page for finding new homes for the rather large amount of mainly Toys I have accumulate over the past five plus decades so here I am on eBay
I also have a love of music my Dad always had Elvis, the Beatles and such playing at home and my first real musical love was Motown into Glam Rock & Disco .
My dad had a few what he called Weird and wonderful records and I have amongst a set of Play -A - long Book & Records found this The Family Way O.S.T. Music By Paul McCartney and Supervised and Orchestrations arranged by George Martin .
I buy vinyl records but I am not a collector as such so rather than guess at what the gradings are I have simply taken many photos as describe what I see the Vinyl it's self is close to unmarked brand new condition it actually surprised me when I checked it how good it was as the cover has signs of storage and age please see below
It seems this is a Factory Sample the Vinyl Disc is in excellent condition there are no scratches or scuffs that I can find and the there are no marks as such on the center label from being played the label is handwritten on both sides one side has XARL.7598 1A , The Family way & LK4847 the other side XARL.7599 1A LK4847 both have printed Factory sample Not For Sale with the caution NOTICE -This pressing is not necessarily representative of the finished record and must not be used for review purposes.
The inner sleeve is original and has changed colour with age and some staining and on one side has handwritten notes in red pen in the top left hand corner To a Gent named Colin saying "There are two tracks Phillip doesn't like Give the record a listen and let me know if you find much wrong" -Dick in the top right hand corner in black pen is what looks like XARL 7638/9-2A LK 4847 ,the other side is blank again a change in colour over the years ,On the comments made on the sleeve by Dick to Colin I have never played the album in fact to be honest never knew we had it until a day or so back so I have no idea if this differs in anyway from the actual released version of the O.S.T so please be aware of this
The Album Cover on the front is in good order some discoloring around the edges no rips or tears on the back there is a stain and again discolouring and a hand written 6 Jan above the Mono LK4847 in the top right hand corner
.Please see photos
My Dad worked for some years in the Film and TV & music industries with lighting and had friends in all so somewhere along the way he got this Album from whom and when I am in the dark but I am sure he would love a Fan of the Film or Paul McCartney & George Martin to have this I am sure rare version of the Album
The1967 Released album seems to have a bit of a spread of opinions value wise which having bought Vinyl since the late 1960's myself I understand condition dictates much but rather than guess I have started at a moderate price and will leave it the fans and collectors who know their stuff to decide the value or not of this Album .
we pack vinyl very safely and send fully tracked delivery we only ask you for Royal Mail standard signed postage and will pay the difference ourselves
