Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates. HEAVY BLUES ROCK SENSATIONS ala U.K. BLUES BOOM!

  • MEGA RARE 1967 ORIGINAL FIRST PRESS
  • LAMINATED with BACK FLAPS

  • THE BEEFEATERS

  • ..|/\|...............................................|/\|..
  • Denmark - SONET RECORDS -

  • Mega Rare 1967 very first of two Lp's produced by the mighty BEEFEATERS, a killer blues-psych rock band of high praise. The cover is the old laminated Europeam '60s and comes with authentic "back-flap" cover seams on back cover.
  • Front cover is striking psychedelic styled eye candy that is hard to miss...
  • The Beefeaters the legendary Danish garage rock blues band active from 1964–71. They began with the arrival of vocalist/guitarist Peter Thorup in 1966.

  • In 1967, The Beefeaters played as support band for Jimi Hendrix Experiemce, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and Pink Floyd during their concerts in Denmark.

The Beefeaters produced two great albums: Beefeaters (1967) and Meet You There (1969). Both albums were top-notch "real" electrified blues-rock efforts to file along albums by John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, early Peter Green & Fleetwood Mac and even early CREAM.

The Beefeaters were formed in Denmark by four raw and talented young men as a result of their visit to Copenaghen to watch legendary British blues bands perform. Inspired by the UK blues rock infused styles of the blues, The Beefeaters  were around long enough to make two highly sought albums, strong enough, and plenty hard to find that both albums demand high three figure amounts within collectors circuits whenever one or both happen pop-up!

  1. Their first 1967 album (here) sounds quite "crude" compared to their next (1969) and last album. They have a lot of guts and sound like "cavemen" but that is precisely where their charm lies. This group is a complete obscurity that certainly deserves to be heard.

  1. and the FAN MAN adds:

  2. Well, as the main reviewer above states, what these guys conjure up here deserves to be heard. Already with the opener "It Ain't Necessarily So" you can hardly believe that the band comes from Denmark, sounding a dead ringer for a brilliant/lost British artifact. The listener would never think otherwise unless told or read somewhere. They were definitely up to date for 1967 and could easily keep up with "John Mayall's Bluesbreakers", Peter Green's "Fleetwood Mac" or even "Cream".

  3. The "Beefeaters" were not purists, but also processed blues-beat/rock and jazzy complexities as to raise the bar from the one dimensional sound of a plodding rock band. The grandiose sound is mainly based on Thorup's vocal qualities ala Jack Bruce and "killer" rated guitar work. In addition, Kjærumsgård's Farfisa organ rings and gushes.

    1. "It Ain't Necessarily So" (3:54)
    2. "Crossroads" (2:31)
    3. "My Babe" (3:35)
    4. "I Want You" (3:40)
    5. "Hey Little Girl" (2:18)
    6. "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" (3:29)
    7. "Let Me Down Easy" (3:41)
    8. "Shakin' Fingerpop" (2:50)
    9. "Night Flight" (3:19)
    10. "Summer Scene" (4:29)

  4.                  CONDITION:

  5. The cover: rated: "EX" (excellent) pretty gorgeous really, consider it 53 years old veryvery colorful, fragile, laminated, old '60s back-flap seams on reverse back side. For this rarity, about as nice as you will find. No split seams, no bends, no writing and no split seams

  1. The vinyl: Rated: near M- very clean and clear, plays fantastic...both SONET labels are clean

A cool addition to anyone's music library!
