RARE two tone label vinyl PRESSING
The fabulous JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE
ARE YOU EXPERIENCED?
usa - two tone Reprise - 6261
BEAUTIFUL MINTY CONDITION and Scarce two tone Reprise label that was issued only for a short period around 1969 ...it's a VERY decent original pressing of that issued label! Contains the very clean and stiff original sixties Reprise inner sleeve as well...
Most sixties pressings, like this one, of this popular "party" record are found thrashed or in less than desireable condition in current days...This 38 year old artifact of the sixties psych scene has been in relatively careful hands...plays TOP LEVEL~!
Jimi Hendrix's debut recording was an instant classic, and is as startling today as when it first hit the streets in 1967. ARE YOU EXPERIENCED? is probably the most rock-oriented of Hendrix's official studio releases, but its influences are incredibly diverse. "Third Stone From The Sun" recalls the supple octaves of acid trips psychedelia... the churning tribal polyrhythms of "Manic Depression" evoke John Coltrane; "I Don't Live Today" employs ritualistic Native American drumbeats; and the title tune borrows the Eastern airs of sitarist masters...all enveloped with sonic rushes of magic fingered feedback fenzies...
1. Purple Haze 2. Manic Depression 3. Hey Joe 4. Love Or Confusion 5. May This Be Love 6. I Don't Live Today 7. Wind Cries Mary, The 8. Fire 9. Third Stone From The Sun 10. Foxey Lady 11. Are You Experienced?
CONDITION: The cover clean M-- SOLID no bends, no splits, no writing ... STIFF & presentable, obviously has been well cared for around 40 years...even the back black & white Hendrix Experience classic photo which usually shows wear first & fourmost IS clean M-
The vinyl M- highly shiny & glossy plays outstanding! One of the BEST copies of this pressing we've ever had!
