Description

Them--Dirty Old Man (At The Age Of Sixteen) / Square Room--Sully 1021.  Great 1967 two-sider by Van Morrison's bandmates while they were based in Texas.  Ray Ruff produced.  A-side is uptempo with excellent vocals, guitar, and organ.  This cut was comped on Texas Punk Group From The Sixties # 1 and 60s Punk E.P. # 2.  The flip is a way-cool midtempo floating, dreamy psych number with good vocals and nice mixture of sitar and guitar.  Pass the hookah ! ! !  This tune was comped on Underground.  Vinyl is VG; there is some hiss in quieter spots, but overall an enjoyable listen.  Labels have moderate wear.
