Description
Original AFRTS Station Library transcription LP RL‑42‑7 featuring a multi‑artist easy‑listening and vocal‑pop program. Side 1 includes Andy Williams with orchestra and a substantial Claudine Longet set, including “Wanderlove,” “Hello, Hello,” and “Until It’s Time for You to Go.” Side 2 features Vic Damone arranged by Perry Botkin Jr., followed by a full “Hits of Our Time” segment performed by Lawrence Welk & His Orchestra. Produced exclusively for U.S. military broadcast use and never sold commercially, these discs were pressed in limited quantities and distributed to bases worldwide. This edition blends orchestral pop, soft vocal arrangements, and classic 1960s easy‑listening repertoire.

VG+ record / VG sleeve. Vinyl shows solid gloss with light hairlines, minimal sleeve scuff, and no scratches. Side 1 presents a few longer but very fine hairlines that appear superficial. Playback on a test deck reveals low‑level surface noise primarily between tracks, generally disappearing under music. Two faint rotational pops were heard on Track 6 of Side 1. Side 2 plays similarly with slightly heavier noise at the start of Track 1, quickly overtaken by program audio, and 2–3 random pops. No skips or tracking issues. Labels are clean with minimal spindle wear and light print anomalies typical of AFRTS production. Sleeve is VG with light staining, minor fading, and a small seam split (about 1"). Playback may vary depending on equipment; sold as‑is.
