VERY RARE and highly collectible ...Original VINYL first pressing of the manical garage legend BOOM by the mighty SONICS...
Big time 42 year old collectible, very sought, it's valued at $$$three figures and will keep rising....
The Sonics' second album is every bit as explosive and influential as their debut outing, loaded with gritty Northwest rock & roll. Sandwiched in between the abrasive classics of "Cinderella" and "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" (with the Wailers on backing vocals), the tough sass of "The Hustler" and "Shot Down," the demonic "He's Waitin'," and the sledgehammer, inside-out version of "Louie, Louie" (only three chords to play and they don't even play 'em) are the band's straight-ahead takes on old R&B chestnuts like "Skinny Minnie," "Let the Good Times Roll," "Don't You Just Know It," "Since I Fell for You," "Hitch Hike," and a nice barn-burning version of "Jenny Jenny." Where the Wailers cut down the trees and paved the highway, the Sonics were the first group from their neck of the woods to take that music somewhere wilder than their original inspirations ala turn up the amps, stomp it out and RAVE-UP! The second chapter of Northwest rock & roll after you absorb the Wailers' Golden Crest sides.

CONDITION: The cover very solid and clean which is a rare find for the 42+ year old prone to ring wear with the dark cover...this one is nice(!) very little wear at all, nearest EXcellent, call it VG++ to be safe, no obvious problems, no seam splits, no writing. Even the back cover is still 'snow' white and clean (M-) ...altogether, it'll look TOPS in any collection
The vinyl has little hard to see light superficial surface scuffings like inner sleeve paper type scuffs or from stacking on the old turn tables, VG++ and plays still enjoyable, we just took a spin with it and it roars !!! ...straight from the garage!
