"12 Groovy Hits / 12 Groovy Bands" on Tener 155. Cover is in VG to VG+ condition. (solid with no seam splits. some stains and some minor wear. see photos) Record is in VG / VG- condition. (Side 1 / Side 2. Side 2 has some feel-able marks and looks worn more than Side 1 does. But despite some of the scuffs and scratches the record does play very well even Side 2. I played both sides through and the record is very listenable and the scuffs have only a very minor affect on the playback. which is a good thing and the record plays better than it looks. The record doesn't appear to have been heavily used or played a lot actually. It still has a nice shine to it and the labels are clean too. But it just wasn't handled all that carefully and this has resulted in some scuffs in the wax) This is a Mega rare 1966 garage LP featuring some very obscure Florida garage bands. This LP was made only for promotional purposes by the Bee Jay talent agency which was based in Orlando in order to promote and get gigs for the bands listed herein. Only a total of 50 copies of this LP were pressed !! And these copies were only given to people who were insiders in the music industry at that time, which was in the year 1966 (The LP was recorded in the spring of 1966) Because of these factors listed, this LP is mega rare and impossible to find nowadays !! Most, if not all, of the bands on this record never recorded again and never appeared on any other record. The Bee Jay talent agency also released other LPs and 45s that are equally hard to find too, but this LP was the very first one that they released. This is a very cool garage LP with some great tracks on it, and it certainly isn't a record that you are likely to see offered for sale again anytime soon. I listed below the auction results for the last and probably only copy of this record that sold previously on ebay according to popsike.com which tracks ebay sales of rare records. GRADING OF RECORDS
MINT – record looks new and perfect looking. Not many records make this grade.
NEAR MINT – record is ‘like new” very clean with only possibly the most minor and superficial of marks.
VG++ record has only very minor surface marks and wear and is in excellent condition.
VG+ record shows some surface marks but the record is still in relatively good shape. no feel-able scratches
VG record shows a fair amount of wear. may have feel-able scratches
G record shows excessive wear.
